Installation

To install and configure PA5G, you must have the proper local administrator privileges. Follow the directions listed below.

  1. Open Setup in the Install folder. The Installation screen will open.
  2. Select "Next.>" to continue with the installation.
  3. Read the End-User License Agreement. Select the circle beside "I accept the terms in the License Agreement" to agree to the terms, and select "Next>."
  4. The Subscriber screen will appear. Select the location of the port where PA5G will be installed. Confirm that you are not using a port that is already used by another source (such as the Shared Services Manager) if you wish to create a new port. If you simply want to add to an existing site, use the address of the site you like to modify. Type the web site name you would like to use, and the instance name. Select "Next>".
  5. The Begin Install screen will prompt you to begin installing PA5G. Select "Install."
  6. The system will proceed to install. During this activity, you are not prompted to create any action until it is complete You can select "Cancel" at any time to cancel the installation.
  7. Once the installation is complete, a confirmation screen will appear. Select the box beside "Run the Performance Analyzer 5G configuration tool." to open the configuration tool. Select "Finish" to close screen and complete installation.
  8. The system will proceed to install. During this activity, you are not prompted to create any action until it is complete You can select "Cancel" at any time to cancel the installation.
  9. The screen will appear informing that the installation of PA5G has been complete. The box beside "Run the Performance Analyzer 5G configuration tool" will be checked by default. If you do not want to configure PA5G, uncheck the box. Select "Finish" to complete the installation.
